CardTally (the "app") is developed by Pantara. We care about your privacy. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use the app.
1. Your data stays on your device
CardTally stores your financial data (portfolio, spending, budget and transaction records) on your device. We do not send this data to our servers and do not share it with third parties.
2. Market data
To keep stock and market prices up to date, the app may send anonymous price queries to data providers. These queries do not include your personal financial records.
3. Analytics and ads
CardTally shows no ads and does not use advertising identifiers. To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (for example, which screens are opened and which features are used) using Firebase Analytics (Google) and PostHog. This may include an anonymous app-instance identifier and general device information, but it never includes your financial records: amounts, descriptions and categories stay on your device and are never sent to analytics. This data is used only to improve the app and is never sold.
4. Deleting your data
Because your financial data is kept on your device, removing the app deletes all of your financial records, and you can clear your data from within the app at any time. The anonymous analytics data described above is not linked to your identity; to request its deletion, contact us at info@pantara.dev.
